Family Constellation Seminars Improve Psychological Functioning in a General Population
American Psychological Association

In this RCT study, we investigated the efficacy of FCSs with regard to variables of psychological health. Results indicate improvements in psychological functioning following an FCS at 2-week and 4-month follow-ups, compared with a wait-list condition. Exploratory analyses showed reduced psychological distress and reduced motivational incongruence in the IG at both followups.

Group Work and Family Constellation Theory
International Transactional Analysis
Association
2014
Each of us is both an individual and a carrier of dynamics from many generations of ancestors. Many people hold trauma that belonged originally to other family members or the family group, and there are few ways to work with such situations clinically. In this article the authors address how the principles and practice of Hellinger’s (1998) family constellation work provide tools with which to heal the family system and thus the client. They describe the impact of the family group on the individual psyche and the practical application of family constellation work in group settings. They also explore the interface between family constellation work and transactional analysis, including how transactional analysis theory supports the use of family constellations.
Improving Experience in Personal Social Systems
through Family Constellation Seminars
Family Process
2014
Between-group simple effects analyses demonstrated that participants in the intervention group had significantly improved their experience in their personal social systems compared with the wait-list group at short-term intervals of 2 weeks and 4 months after the FCSs, again with medium effect sizes. More precisely, the average person in the intervention group scored higher than approximately 73% of the wait-list group after 2 weeks (Cohen’s d = .61) and higher than approximately 69% of the wait-list group after 4 months (Cohen’s d = .53).

These findings also suggest that depression affects the association between maternal affectionless control and anxiety and the association between maternal affectionless control and suicidal ideation.

Family Constellation Seminars have significant effect on reduction of itch and reduction of clinical signs of atopic dermatitis with lower effect on skin condition in patients with psoriasis
